INDEPENDENT COUNCIL FOR ROAD SAFETY INTERNATIONAL
The Independent Council for Road Safety International is a not-for profit organization that provides independent authoritative advice on global road safety policies by road safety scientists that have no financial conflicts of interest.
ICoRSI aims to:
Provide rapid, independent and evidence-based information on road safety policy and practice to policy makers and the public.
Strengthen the capacity of safety professionals and policy makers to understand existing evidence and undertake new research.
Facilitate in capacity building for safety professionals and policy makers in the field of transportation safety.

The Conference has two major themes: (1) vehicular safety design, and
2) effects of the urban built environment on road safety. In addition to presentation of scientific papers, international experts will also make key note presentations on conference themes. The conference encourages participants to exchange research ideas and practical experiences dealing with the following aspects of road safety in the Latin America Region:
The course is intended to provide students, researchers, professionals, and other road safety stakeholders,the latest scientific knowledge in road traffic injury prevention. Topics covered include epidemiology of roadtraffic injuries in Latin America, Safe System approach to road safety management, transport and urbanplanning for road safety, injury biomechanics and vehicle design, trauma care, and post-crash management.
